Lyman & Brown Leather Goods
Lyman & Brown Leather Goods is owned and operated by Linda L. Brown and S. Glenn Brown. Linda and Glenn have been educators and have taught K-12 and University level for over twenty five years. They have served as Peace Corps Volunteers in Kyrgyzstan Central Asia, English teachers on the Navajo Nation and, taught English and Fine Arts around the world. In addition to beginning certified K-12 Fine Arts teachers. Both, hold MFAs from the University of Utah; Linda, an MFA in Directing and Glenn, an MFA in Theatre Design. It’s often been our habit to make holiday gifts for our family. One recent Christmas we decided to create passport holders made from Glenn’s old leather bomber jacket. We loved hand-stitching the worn supple leather and we haven’t turned back since. We’re excited to start our own small business as we transition from our years in education. Our current line of leather goods has evolved out of a search to create fine-crafted leather goods made by hand using the finest full-grain oil-tanned leather. Our leather is sourced from US tanneries and distributors. “We call it slow fashion.” Each item is designed, cut, and made by hand. This process does take time, but in the end, you are left with a product that will naturally condition and develop a delicious patina for years to come.
